Before His Face: The Coram Deo Signature

“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”
— 1 Corinthians 10:31

“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”
— Colossians 3:17

Every word we wear begins somewhere.
For us, it began with a phrase that shaped not only our name, but our posture: Coram Deo — before the face of God.

The Coram Deo signature is not a spiritual instrument, but a mark of intention. It reflects a confession already held, a truth already believed, and a way of life already lived before God.

The Weight of Words

In the days when manuscripts were penned by hand and seals were pressed in wax, a mark carried meaning. It identified authorship, conviction, and responsibility. It was not ornament, but intent made visible.

We wanted our signature to carry that same gravity — timeless, reverent, and unashamed to stand for something greater than ourselves.

The people of God have always been a people shaped by the Word. From tablets of stone to parchment and print, God’s Word has instructed, comforted, and endured through every generation. These are not merely sentences, but living words received by faith (John 6:63).

Our signature was shaped with that conviction in mind — not to replace the Word, but to quietly reflect reverence for it. The name Coram Deo points us back to a simple truth: everything we do is done before God’s face, under His authority, and for His glory.

What Coram Deo Means

To live Coram Deo is to live with awareness of God’s presence, submission to His authority, and devotion to His glory. It is integrity when unseen, faithfulness without applause, and purpose grounded beyond the present moment.

We do not design to impress. We design to express this truth with restraint and care. Every thread, label, and word is crafted as a reminder — not of us, but of the life already lived before God.

A Signature That Points Beyond Itself

The Coram Deo signature was crafted to hold humility and strength together. Its form draws from heritage letterforms — reminiscent of manuscript margins and theological title pages — shaped by patience, discipline, and care.

Inspired by the blackletter Textura tradition, once used to preserve Scripture through the labor of monks and early printers, its structure reflects order, intention, and reverence. Every stroke is deliberate, measured, and restrained.

Though rooted in historical forms, the signature is not a replica or relic. It is a continuation — a contemporary mark shaped by the same respect for the written Word and the craft that preserves it.

Why We Keep It Simple

We chose not to surround the signature with symbols or slogans because the name itself carries meaning. Before His face. That truth requires no ornament.

When the signature appears on a garment, it functions as a mark of authorship and intent — not a spiritual statement, but a quiet reflection of belief already held. It belongs to those who seek to live with eternity in view, remembering that every act, however small, is seen by God.

A Signature of Care

The Coram Deo signature reflects our conviction that faith and craft need not be separated — that beauty can serve truth when handled with honesty and restraint.

Wherever it appears, may it serve as a simple reminder to live attentively before the Lord, to walk faithfully in His truth, and to do all things — not for recognition — but for the glory of God alone.
